The Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola (VB) is a province of Piedmont to just over 163 000 inhabitants created in 1992.
Located in the northern region, bordered to the north, west and east of Switzerland (Canton Ticino and Valais) to the east by Lombardy (Province of Varese), on the south by the provinces of Novara and Vercelli.
It is formed by the merger of three geographically distinct Verbano, Cusio and Ossola, Verbania, Domodossola and Omegna are the main centers of the province.
The Province is the area northwest of Insubria and provincial institution is a member of the community of Regio Insubrica.
